If possible wear easy, comfortable clothes, which can be slipped on at end of your treatments. Remember that because we are not on a main street, nor do you have to walk to a car park, it will be very convenient to jump in your car, after your treatments, and gain the benefits of a facial, massage with aromatherapy oils, or sauna without worrying about having to dress appropriately for leaving a salon.

What should I do before a wax treatment?

Avoid having a heat treatment or ultra violet such as a sunbed, sauna, swimming in chlorinated water, or sunbathing within 24hrs of a wax treatment.

Do I need a skin test before an eyelash/eyebrow tint?

Yes. At least 24hrs before your appointment.

Sauna Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring anything?

Towels, shower and toiletries will be available to use, however some people do not like to shower immediately after their sauna as the body is still sweating for a period of time. However, it is advised, that when you feel the sweating process has stopped, that you immediately shower and wash off all toxins that have been excreted.

Do I need to arrive early?

Yes, I recommend arriving 5 to 10min before your treatment as I do require a consultation and consent form to be filled in. It will also allow for getting changed.

How hot does it get?

The air temperature in the cabin is between 30 degrees and 50 degrees Celsius. Within this temperature range, heat absorption and heat dissipation in an unclothed body at rest are in balance. The body does not need to expend any energy for warmth or cooling. It is in a thermally neutral environment. This means that the body’s own thermal regulation mechanism is at “rest”. The body can then absorb warmth through the skin and dissipate it to the environment easily.

Can more than one person use it?

Yes, this sauna is for two people, so you can use it with a friend or use it on your own. It is recommended to use with no clothes on, or minimal clothing so some people prefer to use on their own.

Who is the sauna not for?

Please avoid the sauna in the event of a fever, inflammations, infections, thrombosis, or when under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have hypertension, epilepsy, scars on back or after sunbathing. Please consult with doctor before booking in.

How much weight can I loose using an infrared sauna?

In an infrared sauna a person can sweat one pound of sweat in a 30min session which is the equivalent of running 2-3 miles. Whilst it is true that the weight expelled in the sauna may be regained by rehydrating with water- the calories lost will not, resulting in weight loss. Infrared Saunas are a healthy weight loss solution without exercising. They can burn 400-600 calories in a 30min session. As with all weight loss it would definitely make sense to be following a healthy nutritious lifestyle.
